OFFSET CO2-e EMISSIONS

With CARBON OFFSET CREDITS

GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS COMPENSATION

All productive sectors are responsible directly or indirectly for the emission of greenhouse gases, especially Carbon Dioxide, which is present in larger quantities in the atmosphere and can persist for over a century in the air.

Companies are responsible for the generation of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions through their production processes, and this amount must be recorded in their Emission Report within the following scopes

SCOPE 01

GHG Emissions from the use of fossil fuels (burning, evaporation) such as wood, gas, diesel, kerosene, gasoline, coal, etc.

SCOPE 02

GHG emissions from the consumption of electricity originating from more or less polluting generating sources.

SCOPE 03:

GHG emissions generated by suppliers directly linked (contracted) to the production process, including all contracted logistics and used inputs

Companies concerned with the maintenance and improvement of environmental conditions are creating strategic plans to REDUCE GHG EMISSIONS in the production process from 2030 to 2050, to meet the targets proposed by the UNFCCC – United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The reduction of emissions is essential; however, until reaching this goal, companies continue to emit GHGs and pollute the environment, thus contributing to global warming.

Companies have to reduce GHG emissions in the medium term, but they should COMPENSATE/NEUTRALIZE their GHG emissions by using CARBON OFFSET CREDITS from FOREST CONSERVATION
